Description


This is a compact micro-electronic device based on latest technology. It senses the voltage supply at its terminals and operates electromagnetic relay in case of over voltage condition. Thie relay gets energised/ON for over voltage condition in any of phases. Over voltage setting and On/Off Time delays are continuously adjustable with the help of a knob over linear caliberated dial. Separate terminals for Auxillary voltage / operating voltage are provided in case of 3 three phase models. Two change over contacts are provided for customer's usage. Three LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) are provided on top of the unit to indicate 'Voltage Supply On', Relay ON' and Over Voltage Condition'.

This relay is designed using micro-controller technology. It is
very simple to use and at the same time very accurate and
reliable. It is guaranteed for the performance as per design
for the lifetime of the components, best available in market.
Application :-
This relay is used for controlling the D.C. supply for under
voltage condition. The relay gets de-energised when the
supply voltage goes below the setting. Two changeover
contacts are provided for customer usage for indication and
protection.

Working Principle :-
Two different supply input are provided for accurate setting of
the relay in the factory during testing and setting at the final
stage of production. One +ve supply is for operation of the
relay which changes due to energisation and de-energisation
of the electromagnetic relay used for outputs contacts. Second
+ve supply is for sensing the voltage supply which is provided
through a variable source for doing testing and setting of the
unit at the final stage of production in the factory.
During actual operation both the +ve supply inputs are
shorted as we use same supply for operation and sensing. The
relay has a stabilized reference voltage adjustable through
the under voltage setting potentiometer knob which is
compared with the supply voltage and accordingly the output
electromagnetic relay is energised / de-energised through
independently adjustable ON and OFF delay timers. The
reference voltage is further adjusted depending on the
ON/OFF state of the output relay according to the ON/OFF
differential setting to accommodate change in the supply
voltage due to loading / unloading
